Planning your Minnesota site
Midstate Refrigeration Rental & Leasing is based in Baxter, Minnesota, and rents refrigeration trailers across Minnesota, from Brainerd to Rochester. These are the questions that decide whether a unit works on your lot, and the ones we will ask.
- Footprint
- Measure the parking space or yard area, and the path from the street. Allow room to open the door and load.
- Power
- Check what outlet or generator you can supply. We confirm the unit's electrical needs before delivery so you can arrange an electrician if one is needed.
- Ventilation
- Keep clear space around the refrigeration unit so it can shed heat, especially on hot, humid Minnesota summer afternoons.
- Ground and drainage
- Level, firm ground works best. Tell us about gravel, slope or standing water.
- Capacity
- Count pallets or cases, and tell us the temperature range you need to hold.
- Access and winter
- Check gate width, turning room and overhead lines. In a Minnesota winter, keep the approach plowed and the pad clear of ice.
Minnesota refrigerated trailer rental questions
How much does a refrigerated trailer rental cost in Minnesota?
Price depends on the unit, the rental period, the delivery distance from our yard to your Minnesota town, such as Duluth or Rochester, and any setup. We quote each rental after you send your town and dates.
Do you deliver outside Baxter and Brainerd in Minnesota?
Yes. We rent across Minnesota, including St. Cloud and Duluth. Longer distances change delivery time and cost, so tell us your Minnesota town and we will say what it looks like.
How long can I rent a trailer?
Rentals can be short or long term, from Alexandria to Aitkin. Container options can be rented weekly, monthly or yearly, or leased. Tell us the expected length and any chance it will extend.
What power does a refrigerated trailer need?
It depends on the unit. We confirm the power requirement for the trailer you choose before delivery, whether it goes to Bemidji or Mankato. If site power is limited, ask about a generator trailer.
Can I rent one after a cooler fails?
Yes. Mark the request urgent and send location, capacity, power, access and timeline. We read urgent requests first, and we confirm availability and delivery timing once we know your site, from Moorhead to Winona in Minnesota.
Which size should I choose?
A 12 ft trailer is compact cold storage for limited space. A 20 ft trailer offers refrigerated or frozen storage with shelving options, and a container suits larger or longer-term needs. If you are unsure, send your product list and temperature requirements and we will recommend one for your Minnesota site in St. Paul or Willmar.
